Three Core Values

My 6-Step Antidote for Anxiety

When I’m feeling funky, or experiencing any degree of anxiety, these are the six tools and practices that I use in my daily life to not only get me out of my head, but to get me back into my body, back into my trust, and back into my sense of fun and wonder. I LOVE fun and wonder.

How to Move Forward

In this episode I talk about the way I am practicing moving forward today. (And it may not be what you expect!)

It’s easier.

Two Steps to Having the Best Month Ever

In the middle of the summer I often start to get a bit lethargic or slightly overwhelmed thinking about the fall busy-ness that is approaching. In this video I share the two steps that I practice to guarantee that I have the best month ahead of me. It’s a simple, but very effective (and fun) exercise.

Tune In & Veg Out

I see a sprout.

I feel like I’ve been in a bit of a winter in my life for a while now. It’s been beautiful and truly fun at times. It’s been tear-filled and isolating at other times. It’s been full of inward reflections, comforting spirit time, space for grief, and planting of things that have not been ready to bloom.

Thankfully I’ve had quite a bit of practice in moving slowly over the last fifteen years. However, there have still been times when I’ve tried to rush myself, go faster, figure it out quicker. Like I’m demanding of myself, ‘Bloom now, Elizabeth! Bloom now!’

Frustratingly enough, and thankfully enough, my body and inner being do not like to be rushed and have no care for panicked demands. When I try to push, my body says ‘nah uh’ and slows me right back down.

So to go slow, to plant seeds with no sight of a sprout and to trust that the frozen ground will once again blossom, is something that hasn’t been a guarantee but a true hope. Those of you who have been with me for a while know that one of my chosen core beliefs is that ‘Life gets better and better.’ The important part of this belief is a full commitment to be in the cycles of life even when you’re in a season that does not feel ‘better.’ It’s a practice to trust that I am always circling forward to a better place. As my dad would say, ‘Keep the faith, baby.’ So this time has been perhaps lacking in outward proof, but chock-full of stubborn inward faith.

And then, just when I’m not pressuring it or demanding it … I see a sprout.

Over the past few weeks, I actually kinda feel like a sprout. Curious, slightly timid, but more excited, ready to ascend.

I have started to feel more waves of joy. Synchronicity is meeting me at almost every corner. And my favorite feeling, inspiration, is flowing. It’s ironic that as I write this the snow is coming down. I’m sipping hot coffee and I have long underwear on to stay cozy.

However, internally, I feel like it is spring again.

I’ve also realized that coming out of this winter season of my life, I’m different. I’ve changed and I’m changing. With that, it feels as if my days and the ways that I spend my time are asking for loving upgrades. The video today is all about how we ‘Tune In and Veg Out’ … two of my favorite things to do. I’m finding that how we do either of these things can enhance where we are or make it a heck of a lot harder. I’m a fan of it feeling good … and this video is all about that.

Whether you are in hibernating mode or expansive-growth mode …

Whether you’re snuggled in a blizzard right now or one of our community in the midst of summer on the other side of the globe …

I send you love in the exact spot you are in.

Boy, I really needed to hear this again…and again. I definitely tune-in when I am surrounded by nature…in the woods, on the lake.
And I veg out when I am reading a good novel or watching a fun movie. I plan to pay attention to how these activities change for me depending on the season or how full my calendar is. Thank you, Elizabeth!
